Does Caring Conquerors offer leadership training and ongoing leadership support?

We at Caring Conquerors are dedicated to helping you become an effective support group leader. This is accomplished through the leadership training and study materials, the leadership newsletter and discussion forums. We also desire to keep in touch with you to better understand the particular needs of your group and to offer ongoing, practical resources to assist you. Then as the Caring Conquerors ministry grows, you will be able to network with other leaders and facilitators, sharing together in the things that are working well in serving those that hurt.

How do I become a leader/facilitator?

Caring Conquerors, Inc. offers a training program that provides the leadership with the necessary tools for building and facilitating a successful ministry. This is accomplished either through a Self-Directed Training program or through the One-Day Phoenix Leadership Training Seminar.

  1. Attend a Leadership Training Seminar or participate in a self-directed training program. Click on Start-Up for training information and Calendar for dates, times and locations.
  2. Order, via our Book Store Order Form, a Caring Conquerors Ministry Kit containing one copy of each of the following books. When ordering books for the individual support group members, you may order only the study book the group is presently using.

    • Leadership Manual (one copy per church or facility)-The Blueprint For Building A Caring Conquerors Support Group. This how-to book provides the necessary tools for developing and facilitating an effective Caring Conquerors ministry within the local church, skilled nursing facility or college campus.

    • 1st Study Book (one copy per person or couple)-Victory In Affliction: Removing Masks, Moving Mountains. This study book establishes the way to encourage one another through the sharing of individual joys and sorrows in a loving and caring environment.

    • 2nd Study Book (one copy per person or couple)-Conquering Affliction: More Than Mere Coping. This study book is written to help those who suffer to personally understand why they experience the feelings they do, to learn about those feelings, and to gain God's perspective on their suffering. This book is also an effective tool for one-to-one discipleship.

  3. Become familiar with The Blueprint for Building a Caring Conquerors Support Group Ministry, then use this information to start a group.
  4. Preview the books: Removing Masks, Moving Mountains and More Than Mere Coping.
  5. After receiving training, contact people who might be interested in joining a Caring Conquerors support group--through church or facility publications, by letters, by personal invitation, or by pastoral referral.
  6. Invite people to attend an organizational meeting to learn who is interested in attending; to learn the best day and time to hold the support group; and to surface potential leaders/facilitators: leaders who have already experienced and accepted the healing comfort of the Lord, for they lead best where they have already walked; and facilitators who have a caring concern for the ministry and an empathetic heart for others that hurt.
  7. Then, notify them with the day and time of the support group and begin meeting together.
  8. Leaders are encouraged to participate in the ongoing Leaders' Discussion Forums (Scheduled discussions and responses of previous discussions are found in the Leadership Newsletter.). Forums provide an opportunity to learn from each other's experiences. We all have an opportunity to grow as leaders through sharing what God is teaching us through the Caring Conquerors ministry.

Make a Commitment to Caring
